Your income in retirement might be come from a few different sources. Take some time to consider these in your retirement plan:
Age Pension

Depending on your assets you may qualify for the Age Pension. This income safeguard provided by the government can supplement your super to help you meet your retirement expenses.   

Did you know that even if you don’t qualify for the Age Pension you may be eligible for the Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (CSHC)? This card has a variety of generous discounts that can make a big difference to your retirement income.

Other income sources

Depending on your circumstances there are various ways to supplement your retirement income such as 

  • shares or rental income   
  • receiving an inheritance 
  • downsizing your home 
  • keeping your current home and use the Home Equity Access Scheme 
  • continuing to work in a fulltime or part time capacity
