Background
Linda serves as the Chair of CareSuper, and is a Member-Representative Director nominated by UnionsNSW.
An experienced Chair and Board Director, Linda is also Chair and Commissioner of the NSW Local Government Grants Commission and also serves as a Director of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI), and is a member of the Director Nomination Committee of IFM Investors. She is also a Chair of the Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF), Australia's leading organisation committed to preventing and minimising the harm caused by alcohol and other drugs, a Director of the Powerhouse, the largest museum group in Australia and a Director of the Industry Innovation and Science Australia (IISA).
Linda formerly served as the elected President of the Australian Local Government Association (ALGA), attending National Cabinet and a wide variety of Ministerial councils, alongside the Prime Minister, Premiers and Chief Ministers, and a range of State and Territory Ministers. She was the first woman elected as President of Local Government NSW. Collectively, in these leadership roles she secured more than $25 billion for Australia's 537 local governments. She has served as the City of Sydney's Deputy Lord Mayor and a councillor, and on a range of other boards and taskforces, including the Commonwealth Government's Regional Banking Taskforce, CSIRO's External Advisory Group on Ending Plastic Waste and the NSW Environmental Trust.
She brings an in-depth knowledge of culture, governance, strategy, ESG and advocacy.
