Affordable

As a CareSuper member you have access to group insurance rates, which are generally cheaper than insuring yourself individually.  

No health checks

Members eligible for automatic default cover don't need to provide medical evidence prior to receiving cover.

 

Tax-effective payments

Payments are deducted from your super account instead of your take-home pay, which is taxed at your marginal tax rate, and could be higher than what your super is taxed at.

 

Flexible

You can apply to increase*, reduce or cancel your cover at any time. It's easy to do through Member Online or by completing the relevant form.

 

Parental leave waiver

You can apply for your insurance fees to be waived for up to 12 months when you take parental leave — subject to certain criteria.

 

Convenient

Insurance fees are paid out of your CareSuper account rather than from your pocket so it's one less bill to worry about.

 

Types of insurance we offer

We offer three types of insurance:

 

Default cover

Most CareSuper members get default cover when they become a member and meet certain eligibility conditions. 

Default cover is a set amount of insurance based on your age. The amount of default cover and the cost you can pay for that cover will change as you get older. 

Not all members are eligible for default cover, so make sure you review the eligibility conditions. 

 

Check your cover

To check the type, amount and cost of cover you have through CareSuper, log in to Member Online.
