USI & ABN details for employers
Why accurate USI and ABN details matter
Using the correct fund identifiers ensures your employees’ super contributions go to the right place, on time. Incorrect details can cause delays, payment errors and compliance issues - so it’s worth double-checking before you process contributions.

When to use Caresuper's USI and ABN
Frequently Asked Questions
You’ll need to provide that ABN when:
- setting up contributions for new employees (so their super goes to the correct fund)
- updating payroll or clearing house systems (so those systems recognise CareSuper properly)
- consolidating super contributions or switching funds (so the contributions are directed to the correct fund)
Here's how employers can submit super contributions to CareSuper using the USI:
1. Use a SuperStream-compliant method (payroll system or clearing house)
- You'll need to ensure the fund name, USI, and ABN are entered correctly in your system.
2. Via CareSuper's free1 clearing house, QuickSuper,2 provided by Westpac
- Set up QuickSuper now. Once registered, you can upload a contribution file (bulk) or enter contributions manually online.
- QuickSuper will give you remittance advice and transmit the payment instructions to CareSuper so your contributions align with the USI/ABN settings.
3. Use your existing clearing house or payroll system
- If your current system is SuperStream-compatible, you can send contributions to CareSuper by entering the correct USI (MTA0100AU) and fund name in your files.
- The system will then route the contributions appropriately using those identifiers.
