CareSuper announces new Deputy Chair and Director

16 March 2017

CareSuper Director Terry Wetherall has succeeded David Michaelis as the Fund’s new Deputy Chair.

Mr Wetherall joined CareSuper in 2015 as an Employer Director and commenced his term as Deputy Chair on 1 January 2017.

Mr Wetherall’s Board experience includes current Directorships for the New South Wales Business Chamber and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The announcement has been welcomed by Chair of the Board, Cate Wood.

‘Terry has been a valued member of the CareSuper Board since 2015 and we look forward to the benefit of his knowledge and skill over the next few years.’

Ms Wood also acknowledged the service to CareSuper and its Board of David Michaelis, who retired in December following the expiry of his term and two-year period as Deputy Chair.

‘David Michaelis joined the CareSuper Board in 2012 and has been an integral part of CareSuper’s achievements since that date. We would like to thank him for his dedication and contribution to the Fund.’

January also saw the appointment of Claire Keating to the CareSuper Board.

Ms Keating, who serves as a Director of multiple financial organisations, replaced David Michaelis as a new Employer Director.

According to Ms Wood, Claire Keating’s extensive knowledge has been developed over 25 years working in superannuation and funds management. ‘We are confident that Claire will make a dynamic and valuable addition to the Board’s structure,’ she said.
