ATO outage impacts super funds

Over the last fortnight the Australian Tax Office (ATO) has experienced a system outage, which means it could take longer than usual for super funds to process members’ consolidation requests and other payments that rely on ATO services.
For super fund members, the ATO outage is expected to cause delays into January 2017 for certain payments including rollovers and Departing Australia superannuation payments.
The ATO has indicated that staff are working to gradually bring systems back online. It has also confirmed that no one’s data has been lost or compromised as a result of the outage.
In the meantime, it’s still easy for CareSuper members to consolidate into CareSuper by logging into MemberOnline, using our Consolidation tool or calling us on the number below. Just keep in mind that due to the ATO system outage, rollovers may take a little longer than usual to be processed.
