Choice of fund

Since 1 July 2005 many Australian employees have been able to choose the fund to which their employer's super contributions are paid. From 1 July 2006, even more employees will be able to choose their fund.

To work out whether you are eligible to choose your fund, ask your employer, check the criteria in the CareSuper Member Guide or visit the Australian Taxation Office website.

To choose CareSuper instead of your employer's default fund, simply complete the choice form and hand it to your employer. You'll be glad you did.

It can be a good idea to roll all your super into your chosen fund - download our Transfer form, fill in your details and we'll look after it for you. Note: you should check how closing any other accounts will affect your insurance cover and what the exit fees (if any) have been.
